Birthday Party Programs

Want to do something unique, exciting and fun for your child's next birthday party?  Invite Animals to the party!  Wildlife Educator Bruce Lowder will bring to your home or party location an assortment of interesting, child-friendly animals that everyone will be able to meet, learn about, and even touch!

We offer two birthday party program options.  For children ages 4 and up we offer our Amazing Animals program.  During this program the children will meet a variety of small mammals and reptiles.  Typical species brought for this program include a chinchilla, hedgehog, box turtle, bearded dragon, blue-tongued skink, rabbit, small snake, and even a baby alligator! This program lasts approximately 45-50 minutes.

For older children ages 7 and up we also offer an Amazing Reptiles program.  The children will meet a variety of turtles, lizards, snakes, baby alligator, even "Julius Squeezer" our 12-foot Burmese Python!  This program lasts approximately 50-60 minutes.

We do presentations for parties all year long in peoples homes, or at whatever party facility you are using.  We don't need a whole lot of room- just enough space to seat the children in a single-row semi-circle around us.  The animals remain in their carriers except when coming out one-by-one to meet the children, and we do place a mat on the floor where we will have the animals out.

Most of our programs are done indoors, but during the warmer months we can also do the presentation outside.  However,  for the comfort and safety of the children and animals we do require that outdoor temperatures be between 60 and 85 degrees, and that the area where we will be doing the program be shady.

The base fee for either of our Animal Encounters Birthday Party programs is $200 for locations within 30 miles of our Putnam Valley, NY office.  A nonrefundable $75 deposit is required to reserve a date (we can take your visa/mastercard number over the phone).  The balance would be due at the conclusion of the program in the form of cash or check payable to Animal Encounters.
